Oil & Grease Barrier – No PFAS, No Plastic
A simple pulp-and-paper solution for oil- and grease-resistant papers that requires no PFAS, plastics, coatings, waxes, or nanocellulose.
Fully compostable and easy to implement on existing equipment. Suitable for both paper and molded pulp, across a wide range of basis weights. Ideal for food packaging and foodservice applications.
Biorefinery – Waste to Value
Innovative process that converts hemp hurd agricultural residue into two high-value fractions:
Pulp – High yield, excellent brightness without bleaching, ideal for sustainable packaging papers
Liquid Fertilizer – Rich in organic carbon and NPK nutrients, pH adjustable, easy to apply
Functionalized Hemp Hurd Pulp
Through our innovative process, we transform hemp hurd pulp into two high-performance fractions:
Functionalized Hemp Fibers – Ion-exchange resins for wastewater treatment, fire-retardant & antimicrobial papers, fertilizers, paper-based sensors
Functionalized Nano-Hemp – High-barrier packaging coatings, agricultural hydrogels, eco-friendly cleaning additives, bio-based textile finishing
Fire-Retardant Materials from Hemp Hurd
Once functionalized, hemp hurd fibers can be transformed into a wide range of fire-retardant products, including papers, panels, and insulating cellulose foams.
High-Purity Cellulose from Agricultural Residues
Complete process that converts hemp hurds into high-purity cellulose for textiles and nonwovens — turning a fast-growing agricultural residue into a sustainable alternative to wood.
Flame-Retardant & Hydrophobic Cellulose Foams
Extremely light cellulose structures (>98% air) that are simultaneously fire-retardant and water-repellent. When exposed to flame, they form a protective char layer instead of spreading fire.
Ion-Exchange Bio-Resin from Cellulose
A cellulose-based bio-resin with higher ion-exchange capacity than commercial synthetic resins. Designed for removing heavy metals, dyes and pharmaceuticals from water, and for recovering critical raw materials from spent lithium-ion batteries and printed circuit boards.
Cellulose as Propellant
Successful nitration of wood-derived cellulose produces a high-performance propellant (guncotton) with nitrogen content exceeding 13% and a burning rate of approximately 14 cm/s.
AKD Emulsions with Fiborizon Nanocellulose
A more sustainable and efficient way to prepare AKD sizing emulsions for papermaking:
Up to 50% higher AKD content
Nanocellulose as the sole bio-based emulsifier
Up to 3× less nanocellulose required
Superior long-term stability thanks to high viscosity
100% Bio-Based Coating Barrier for Packaging
Kraft paper coated with Fiborizon nanocellulose in a single-step, one-pot process — delivering strong oil and water barrier properties.
Fully recyclable and compostable.
Boost Paper Strength with Fiborizon Nanocellulose
Our bio-based nanocellulose significantly improves ultra-lightweigBio-Based Controlled-Release Coating for Fertilizersht papers (20 g/m²):
Tensile strength ↑ >40%
Elongation ↑ >60%
Thickness reduced for a denser structure
Better formation with less fiber flocculation
Bio-Based Controlled-Release Coating for Fertilizers
A sustainable coating that allows precise tuning of nutrient release to match crop needs — improving efficiency, reducing waste, and supporting precision agriculture.
